The reason why I’ve moved this site to have a WordPress backend, is due to the large number of existing themes and plugins available. WordPress is Open Source and licenced under GPL. Being a developer in an earlier life, I know that if you want to implement something – then chances are someone else has already done it. And tested it. And rolled out a new version.

The current styling is based on the Urban Elements theme.

The following plugins have been used to extend functionality:

cforms is used for the comments and contact forms, which notifies me when comments have been submitted and enables easy to implement validation.

The galleries are displayed using NextGEN Gallery.

I like to have the photos on the site a standard size, for both design and speed reasons. Mihov Image Resizer allows me to achieve this.
